The Friends of The Exeter Public Library is separate, non-profit community support group for the library. We assist the library by hosting fund raising events and by accepting donations on behalf of the library. Our members also provide a volunteer pool to the library to help with library events and to perform special projects such as maintaining the gardens adjacent to the library building and providing school supplies for the teen room.

We have a large mailing list and a small number of active members. There are volunteer roles for members that entail as llittle or as much time as the member is able to give.

If you are interested in helping the Festival of the Trees decorating committee, please plan to attend our planning meeting on
Tuesday October 3 @ 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM at the library.

At this meeting we will brainstorm ideas for decorations/ colors/ etc and also work on a craft ornament. Pam and I will bring the supplies for making a clear plastic "ball" ornament that will have what looks like miniature books inside.
To meet our theme of banned and challenged books, the "miniature books" will all be ones that have been challenged or banned. (it's a long list).
Please RSVP for acceptance only or if you want to help with the project but can't make this meeting.

The tree festival is Thursday November 30. Decorating Day is Tuesday November 28. Our theme will be "banned books".

Ideas for new activities are welcome - what's your passion and what's your vision for our group?

Next meeting: October 10th @ 6:30 PM

Hope to see you there!
