About the Event
On Tuesday, October 11 @ 7-8 PM Join Exeter Author and Historian Renay Allen & Exeter Historical Society's Co-Director Barbara Rimkunas in a panel discussion on lost local histories. Renay Allen will discuss her book, "James Monroe Whitfield: Abolitionist poet & political activist and give a sneak peak of her newest book.
The panel will end with a community discussion of other histories that may have been lost, how and why these stories can be edited out of mainstream narraties and explore how we can ensure that these essential voices are preserved for future generations.Copies of panelists books will be sold at the event.
