EXETER 250TH CELEBRATION
2026 marks the United States' Sestercentennial Anniversary of its independence. The Exeter 250 Celebration Commission is organizing events throughout the year to honor the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the "Great Experiment"of democracy. The library is presenting a variety of 250th themed programing. Check out what the library is offering for this special event.
A beautiful commemorative pin, featuring one of Exeter's contributions to the war of independence, The Powder House. The small brick structure stored gun powder used in the first skirmishes in Boston. They're a great way to join in on the celebrations and remind others about the 250th.
The pins are $10 each and are available for purchase at the following locations:
-
Exeter Parks and Recreation
-
Exeter Historical Society
-
Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce
-
Exeter Public Library
