About the Event

In honor of Black History Month, we invite commmunity members to the African American Read-In. If you'd like to read, please bring a short reading by an African-American author to share. Send questions to Courtney Marshall (cmarshall at exeter.edu).

The National African American Read-In (AARI) is a groundbreaking effort to encourage communities to read together, centering African American book and authors. It was established in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month.

Refreshments will be served.
